Real flowers are not saturated

Cheap faux flowers are printed in bright, even colour, and that is the single biggest giveaway. These are dyed in dusty, desaturated tones with variation between petals, the way real blooms actually look a day or two after cutting.

Build your own arrangement

Supplied as loose stems, so you choose the vessel, the height and the density. Trim the wire cores to length with wire cutters and they hold wherever you set them.

Works with what you own

The muted palette sits with almost any interior, which saturated faux flowers do not. It will not fight a room the way a bunch of bright pink silk roses does.

Mix them or keep them separate

Dense enough to fill a jug on their own, restrained enough to add two or three stems to a real arrangement to bulk it out without anyone noticing.
